Description:

For Kew Management, a N.Y.C.-based commercial real estate management company and landlord, SKAPC redesigned and fit out the headquarters office building, which overlooks Manhattan’s Madison Square Park. The landmark property was originally built in 1895. The scope of work included the redesign/renovation of the building’s entrance lobby and reception area, new conference rooms and filing/storage facilities, and new pantry. Finishes are modern yet detailed, and lighting played a significant role in the overall design, with dropped and exposed ceilings and other fixtures used to define areas within the open plan environment. It’s interesting to note that when SKAPC removed the existing carpeting, marble mosaic flooring was discovered underneath, and subsequently was incorporated into the design scheme. Flooring also included a combination of tile, wood and carpet to help define the separate office areas.
